Because of the favourable microclimate of the plains of the river Ter, the rice of Pals is of the highest quality and has its own Denomination of Origin status. Rice has been cultivated in the region since the 15th century.

We recommend the restaurant of Hotel La Costa, just 300 metres from the campsite. It’s the perfect place to taste the delights of the Mediterranean cuisine.

Other traditional products of the Empordà region are its sweet pork sausages, the fritters of the region, curds, sea urchins, fish soup, anchovies from L´Escala, prawns from Palamós and the wines of D.O Empordà - Costa Brava.
