The Botanical Gardens of Costa Brava:
Nature & Art in perfect harmony

The Costa Brava isn’t only known for its beaches and coves — it also boasts stunning botanical gardens, where Mediterranean landscapes, art, and biodiversity come together.

Cap Roig Botanical Garden – Calella de Palafrugell (21 km)

Created in 1927 by Nicolai Woevodsky and Dorothy Webster, Cap Roig is one of the most iconic gardens on the Costa Brava. It features over 1,000 plant species from Mediterranean climates, along with a majestic castle built from local stone. It’s also the venue of the prestigious Cap Roig Festival — the region’s top music event. Guided tours are available, and the garden is a model of conservation, heritage, and culture.

Marimurtra Botanical Garden – Blanes (78 km)

Set on a cliff with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean, Marimurtra is a tribute to plant life from around the globe. With more than 4,000 species, this garden is a haven of color and tranquility. Stroll among towering cacti, tropical plants, and classical-inspired corners like the Temple of Linnaeus, where the views are simply unforgettable.

Santa Clotilde Gardens – Lloret de Mar (73 km)

Perched atop a cliff in Lloret de Mar, the Santa Clotilde Gardens are a gem of Italian Renaissance style adapted to the Mediterranean landscape. Designed in the early 20th century, they feature perfect symmetry, fountains, sculptures, and terraces that lead down to the sea — a romantic, serene space where nature and art meet.
