Music Festivals: A summer full of rhythm and culture

1. Cap Roig Festival (Calella de Palafrugell)

2. Castell de Peralada Festival (Peralada)

3. Ítaca Festival (Baix Empordà)

Sons del Món (Roses & Castelló d’Empúries)

From April to September, the Costa Brava celebrates its food heritage with festivals honoring its most iconic ingredients and traditional dishes.

1. Pals Rice Festival (April–June)

A tribute to the region’s prized rice, grown in the fields of Pals.

2. Traditional Rice Planting & Harvest (Pals – June & October)

La Plantada (June): traditional hand-planting of rice

La Sega (October): rice harvesting with scythes and horse-drawn carts

4. FIMAG – International Magic Festival (Torroella de Montgrí – June)

One of Europe’s top magic festivals, featuring over 70 shows from renowned illusionists from around the world.


5. Begur Indianos Fair (First weekend of September)

Summer Markets – Charm and Fun Under the Stars

White Summer Festival (Palamós)

One of the Costa Brava’s most anticipated summer events, combining music, design, food, and family-friendly fun in an outdoor setting.


La Santa Market (Santa Cristina d’Aro)

A magical evening market running in July and August. Fashion, crafts, food, and live shows in a charming open-air atmosphere.


Riba Market (L’Escala)

Every Thursday evening in summer, from 7:00 p.m. to midnight, La Riba fills with artisan stalls selling handmade jewelry, clothing, accessories, and local crafts.
